Step 1

Step 2

At your first session, we’ll talk about your goals and what matters to you. We’ll also take some measurements to understand where you’re at now and use them to help develop your custom program. Together, we’ll choose where and when you’d like to have your sessions to best reach your goals.

Step 3

After your first session, your exercise physiologist will prepare your personalised exercise program. Now you’re ready to start moving and achieving your goals with confidence.

At Exercise Therapies, we’re committed to helping clients achieve their full potential, and Tarsha’s journey is a powerful example of this dedication. Despite having cerebral palsy (CP), Tarsha started with 5K runs and, with Charlie’s guidance, has progressed to completing a 10K race and a 21K run. Her next goal is a full marathon. Through a tailored approach that builds strength and fitness, Tarsha has maintained excellent health and rarely falls ill, a testament to the effectiveness of consistent exercise. Her story shows that with the right support and determination, even the most ambitious goals are attainable.

At Exercise Therapies, we are dedicated to transforming lives through personalised care, as demonstrated by Charlie's inspiring journey. After struggling with persistent pain and mobility issues, Charlie turned to us for a tailored exercise program. This approach led to remarkable improvements—reduced pain, increased strength, and regained freedom to enjoy daily activities without limitations. Charlie’s experience highlights our commitment to addressing each client’s unique needs and providing long-term solutions that empower individuals to take control of their health and achieve a pain-free, active lifestyle.

At Exercise Therapies, we are dedicated to helping clients regain strength and mobility through personalised exercise programs, as seen in Robin’s inspiring journey. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in her 30s, Robin faced severe neck pain and restricted movement, which impacted her active lifestyle. However, after starting a tailored program with us, she experienced significant improvements. Our approach helped relieve her pain, improve her mobility, and restore her confidence in exercising. Robin's story is a testament to the power of personalised care in managing chronic conditions and reclaiming an active, fulfilling life.

I came in for help with my stomach hernia and was experiencing consistent pain. After following a tailored exercise plan with controlled breathing, I can now carry on with my daily activities without pain. The sessions were very helpful, with detailed explanations, demonstrations, and follow-up support. I highly recommend this service.

What is an exercise physiologist?

Exercise physiologists are trained healthcare professionals who can help you get the most benefits out of exercise.

In essence, an exercise physiologist leverages exercise as a medicine or a tool to improve someone’s health, wellbeing, or physical function. Our work ranges from assisting professional athletes to reach peak performance to helping those in the veteran community feel good and function well.

How can exercise physiology help veterans?

When tailored to each person’s unique circumstances, an exercise program can help in managing chronic diseases, recovering from injuries, and enhancing overall wellness.

Whether it’s strength exercises for your upper body to assist with mobility, or flexibility exercises to make everyday tasks easier, exercise can be an empowering tool for veterans, helping them to achieve their health and wellness goals.
